South Australian Space School (SASS) attends VSSEC in 2009.

The Victorian Space Science Education Centre (VSSEC) is a specialist space-themed school education centre, established by the Victorian State Government to encourage excitement about the learning of science. Students are able to role-play real space practices including mission briefings, flight control and simulated space exploration in hostile and dangerous environments.  The SASS program will also include activities such as university laboratory tours, guest presentations by professional scientists and engineers, and a visit to RAAF Base Edinburgh. Attendance at SASS 2009: Mission to Mars also provides an opportunity to be one of ten graduates selected to attend National Space Camp Woomera in October 2010, and to possibly represent Australia on a trip to the Johnson Space Center (Houston, USA) Engineering Challenge in 2009.
